Hey everyone, I'm Mollie, and one of the creators and founders of the Diabetic Angels, a global community of people who advocate, educate others about diabetes, bring about Diabetes awareness, and raise funds for the cure! It is our hope with this community to bring together people of any age to be a part of the Diabetic Angels and have the opportunity to talk to each other about how their chapter of the Diabetic Angels can help others.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in my Junior and Senior year of high school, my sister and I went to a Dual Credit College Program at Nevada State High School, and went on to graduate and go to the Honors College at UNLV starting out as Juniors.
I was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes on September 8, 1993, when I was 4 years old. Since then, my twin sister Jackie, our Mom and Aunt, and whole family have given the past 15 years to help find a cure for diabetes, through advocating, mentoring, fundraising, and bringing about awareness. To date, by using our talent and determination, we’ve raised over a half a million dollars for Diabetes Research and have launched and participated in multiple diabetes awareness campaigns.
We’ve also filmed Public Service Announcement, mentored diabetics worldwide, and on May 8, 2007, met with two of President Bush’s Domestic Policy Advisors at the White House, regarding increased funding for NIH. However, this wasn’t our first trip to the White House; as a matter of fact, we have met President Bush on three different occasions, worked on a letter writing campaign to President Clinton, lobbied numerous Senators and Congressmen, testified three times before Senate and House Hearings, wrote a booklet entitled The Road to the Cure, for more than two years, filmed an on-going Video Diary for Good Morning America, about living with diabetes and followed the Video Diaries with two educational documentaries.

We’re passionate and determined to help find a cure for diabetes and committed to assisting those who cannot help themselves. With our enthusiasm for life and resolve to cure diabetes, it is easy to understand why we are recognized as national advocates for Juvenile Diabetes. However, helping to find the cure isn't our only activity in life. Our passion is music, in particular, Country Music! As
"Mollie and Jackie MJ2" we are currently recording our first album in Nashville, Tennessee! We'll keep you updated! :]
