Original Diabetic Angels

As original Diabetic Angels, we started out with 6 very dear friends who may never know the powerful and positive impact they had on both of us on a very challenging time in our life...Grade School!! Through it all, as I in particular, Mollie, was feeling very different form all of my friends, they all took the time to learn about diabetes, to test their bood sugars so they knew what it felt like for me to have to do 10 times a day, and along with Jackie, learned about Diabetes including what to do in an emergency. These life long friends also went out of their way to help us raise funds for our walk team, and wrote letters to our representatives asking them to increase funding for medical research.
Some of the more enjoyable times we had included giving interviews with all of the DAs. Little did any of us know that a group of 9, 9 year old girls could help form the template that grew to become a Global community! :]
Jackie and I are eternally grateful for their love and support and as they were there for us, we will always be there for them!
