Diabetic Angels 11th Anniversary!

Dear Members of The Diabetic Angels,

It is our pleasure to first say, HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY everyone! :) This date is very close to our hearts since it is also the 11th Anniversary of Founding the Diabetic Angels!!!! Just eleven years ago, we were faced with a situation that, even being devastated and humiliated, we came out of it by doing something about taking the fear and ignorance out of diabetes, and educating our friends and classmates. Now, 11 years later, after mailing, faxing, and emailing people the guidelines and tips to become a Diabetic Angel and start their own group/chapter in their school, we now have a website where Diabetic Angels can join to learn more about diabetes, participate in discussions on the Forums, join groups they can relate to, post pictures related to diabetes, and post blogs for other members to give feedback and support on. We are very excited for the Diabetic Angels Anniversary and can only keep seeing more people joining and having fun together educating others, advocating and raising funds for the cure for Diabetes!

We've posted a Diabetic Angel 2009 Video update for you all to see what will be coming up next and we hope you spread the word and become a member today! We could also use your help! As we get more and more members, we would truly appreciate it if from time to time, everyone scanned the homepage to see if there are any new members and welcome them in your own way! Say hi, tell them your story, make suggestions, direct them to a group or forum you might have been interested in... anything that you feel helps other people to feel welcome, because that is what we are all about, we are all inclusive, all forms of diabetes around the globe. Also, since we're trying to raise Diabetes Awareness, it would really help if all of our members would invite their family and friends to join and even if everyone brought in just a few, it could make a tremendous difference in the DA's ability to make a difference!
